Resolve inability to use translucency based on the style of an individual table in MapXtreme® .NET

Issue

MapXtreme v6.7 has the new ability to display translucent layers with the use of style modifiers on layers, thematics, and labels. While this works well, users cannot use translucency based on the style of individual table features because the Alpha channel cannot be stored in the current MapXtreme table implementation.

The ability to store the alpha channel could provide users with more customization abilities without relying on multiple style modifiers.

Cause

The opacity property in the FeatureLayer class is not exposed for use.

Resolution

UPDATED: July 28, 2017

The opacity property in the FeatureLayer class has now been exposed, upgrade to the MapXtreme .NET v8.1 release to use this property.

Environment Details

Products affected: MapXtreme .NET releases prior to v8.1
