Resolve an E-Z Seal leak on the DM500, DM550, DM800i, DM1000 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™

Issue

The meter is leaking E-Z Seal®.

Cause

  • The bottle may be leaking.
  • There may be an internal leak.

Resolution

UPDATED: September 5, 2017
  1. Ensure that the cap is tight and is not cross threaded.
  2. With the cap face up, press the valve in the center of the cap. It should go down and spring back up.
Note: If you have a tape moistening unit, you will have 2 sealer bottles.
