Resolve "Waste Tank Full" or "Waste Tank Near Full" on the DM100-DM200

Issue

The meter displays "Waste Tank Near Full" or "Waste Tank Full" error message, and may not print.

Cause

Excess ink from purges and heavy use will eventually fill the ink waste tank in the meter.  When the ink reservoir nears capacity, the meter shows the message "Waste Tank Near Full".  When ink reservoir reaches full capacity, the meter shows "Waste Tank Full".

  3. Select "Diagnostics".
  4. Select "PM Maintenance".
  5. Press Page Down until "Reset Waste Tank" is displayed.
  6. The meter will display a warning message, press the Yes/Enter button to continue.
  7. "Waste Ink Tank flag reset" will be displayed, select "Press to restart".
Note: If the machine asks for a code to proceed, enter 9287.
  1. A message "Initialising" will display. Once the meter has finished rebooting you will be returned to the Home screen.

Waste Tank Full:

  9. Close the cover.  You will shortly be returned to the Home screen.
  10. Now follow steps 2-8 above to enter Diagnostic Mode and "Reset Waste Tank" to clear the error.

If you are unable to clear the message, or if it returns shortly after, contact Technical Support.  Please have your Meter type ("PCN") and Serial Number ("Meter #") ready, these can be located on a white sticker at the back of the meter.
