Resolve "Bad Request: Error enabling account" when unlocking Spectrum admin account in Linux

Issue

The Spectrum "admin" account had been locked from too many attempts to log on with an incorrect password. When running the "enableadmin.sh" script on the Linux server, the following error message occurred:

Bad Request: Error enabling account

Cause

The "admin" password contained a character that the shell script was trying to interpret when running the "enableadmin.sh" script.

Resolution

UPDATED: January 11, 2018

Once an escape character was added to the password parameter of the script, the "enableadmin.sh" script was successful at unlocking the "admin" password again.
