'Failed to create a user session' message in Spectrum Miner

Issue

'Failed to create a user session' message is encountered while logging into Spectrum Miner client.

Cause

This could be caused due to insufficient privileges give to the user accessing the Spectrum Miner directly.

Resolution

UPDATED: October 1, 2018
Follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to Spectrum Miner Installation folder. For example, 'PortraitMinerServer70B'.
  2. Right click on the folder and select 'Properties'.
  3. In the 'Properties' window, navigate to 'Security' tab and select 'Users (Server_name\Users)'.
  4. Click on 'Edit' button and check all the check boxes for the 'Users (Server_name\Users)' and click on 'OK'.
