VERIFIED SOLUTION i

Message 'Layer not visible at this zoom level' appears unexpectedly in Spectrum Spatial Analyst

Issue

A layer has zoom layering applied as shown in following sample screenshot:

User-added image

If this layer is visible in one of the map configurations and we wish to keep it visible even after switching the map configurations, zoom levels needs to be retained.
If 'Retain X, Y, Zoom and View of Spectrum Spatial Analyst on switching map configs which are of the same projection' is checked under the 'Settings' tab of Spectrum Spatial Analyst Admin Console, layer must be visible after switching the map configurations, even if the current map configuration does not have the same zoom levels as the previous map configuration. Currently, 'Layer not visible at this zoom level' message is observed for the layer in the above-mentioned scenario. The same is being demonstrated in the following sample screenshot:

Cause

While user switches between the map configurations, only the view is retained when 'Retain X, Y, Zoom and View of Spectrum Spatial Analyst on switching map configs which are of the same projection' is checked under the 'Settings' tab of Spectrum Spatial Analyst Admin Console and not the zoom level.
This could happen due to incorrect value of zoom level being shown on the map after switching the map configurations.

Resolution

UPDATED: November 27, 2018
This has been identified as a product defect which is scheduled to be fixed in Spectrum Spatial Analyst 2018.2. Therefore upgrading to this or later releases should resolve the problem.
For the versions prior to Spectrum Spatial Analyst 2018.2, manually zooming into the later map configuration and zooming back out may resolve the problem.
