Unable to log into the client on EngageOne Server 4.4

Product Effected: EngageOne Server

Product Feature: Deployment / Configuration

When trying to log into EngageOne® Server, a username and password is entered into the log in fields of the Client screen but after clicking 'OK' the screen is refreshed and the log in screen is shown again.

The login cookie is not being saved to the users system so when verifying the log in attempted, the cookie is read but empty so returns the user back to the log in screen. This will loop unless a resolution is made. This can be confirmed by opening the following page and seeing if a 'dnt' has a value of 1:
http://<Server name (FQDN):8080/health-check-web/

Status page for EngageOne Server

UPDATED: October 17, 2018
If 'dnt' has a value of 1 in the status page, this means the browser being used has a security setting enabled meaning 'Do Not Track'. This will prevent cookies from being saved to the system and will prevent users from logging into EngageOne. This can be resolved by either:

Turning of IE enhanced security
  1. Click the Start Button and Launch Server Manager
  2. Head to Local Server.
  3. Find IE Enhanced Security Configuration and click on On
  4. Turn off IE ESC for Administrators and/or for Users and click OK
  5. Restart Internet Explorer.

Adding the Servers URL as a trusted site.
  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. In the Select a Web content zone to specify its current security settings box, click Trusted Sites, and then click Sites.
  3. If you want to add sites that do not require an encrypted channel, click to clear the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box.
  4. In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type the URL of the EngageOne Server, and then click Add.
  5. Click OK two times to accept the changes and return to Internet Explorer.
  6. Reload the EngageOne Server Client page.
