Vault Mirror log messages explained

All versions of Vault that support mirroring (approx. 5.5 onwards)
Mirroring is apparently working okay for this customer, but they are curious about the [skip] message in the log. I did not see any explanation of what this means in the documentation:

14:06:30 <mirror1> begin mirroring streams
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], log [1]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [3]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [30], log [1]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [5]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [60], log [1]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [7]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [90], log [1]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [9]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [120], log [1]
14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [8]

Can you explain these items in more detail?

This parameter is how the mirroring logic pages through large numbers of files looking for jobs that haven't yet been mirrored.

In some cases increasing maxfind (e.g. maxfind=1000) can reduce the time a mirror cycle takes (though throttle and block size usually makes a bigger difference).

SKIP in log msgs means "number of entries to skip before returning results in the logs" :

i.e.

1-->14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], log [1]
2-->14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [3]
3-->14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [30], log [1]
4-->14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find returned record, [30] rows, [1] columns, more [1], elapsed [5]
5-->14:06:30 <connection2> mirror.find request, directory [pagedata], suffix [.drp], skip [60], log [1]

1-->skip[0] --> because it is zero, so don't display it;
3-->skip [30] --> 30 entries to skip before returning results;
5-->skip [60] --> 60 (30+30) entries to skip before returning results;
...

The number is configurable in e2loaderd.ini as below

e2loaderd.ini :

[Mirror1]
enable=1
interval=20

maxfind=100 #30 is default vaule, if you don't set up, then 30 will be used. right now, 100 is the max number when finding mirroring entries.
