Mail360_Service_startup_error.PNG

Cause

This could be caused due to invalid database settings in the Config files.

Resolution

UPDATED: November 20, 2017

Verify the connection string specified in the DataManager.config.xml and Clientbus.config.xml.

The database connection string consists of username, password, and the application database name, which the respective services will try to connect while starting.
  • Open 'DataManager.config.xml' file located at '<EngageOne_Delivery_Audit_install_folder>\PitneyBowes\EngageOne\Delivery Audit\Data Manager Web Services' and verify the following setting:
<add key="DbConnectionString" value="server=<Database server name>;database=<data manager database name>;trusted_connection=true"></add>
  • Open 'ClientBus.config.xml' file located at '<EngageOne_Delivery_Audit_install_folder>\PitneyBowes\EngageOne\Delivery Audit\Data Manager Web Services' and verify the following setting:
<add key="DbConnectionString" value="server=<Database server name>;database=<data manager database name>;trusted_connection=true"></add>

If the database is hosted on a separate server / machine, then the user (Domain ID /DB user ) mentioned  in the Config file should have the dbo privilege on the DataManager and ClienBus database.

<add key="DbConnectionString" value="server=<Database server name>;database=<data manager database name>;sa=<username>;pwd=<password>"></add>
