Products affected: MapInfo Pro™
When installing MapInfo Pro, an error is thrown:
"The installation of hotfix for Microsoft .net framework 4 client profile (KB2484832) has failed. Setup will now exit."
This error occurs when MapInfo Pro is installed on a system where that particular hotfix is already present.

Click OK to the error message.
Log in to the PC with Admin Rights and disable any Anti-virus/anti-malware software.
Use Windows Explorer to browse to the installation files and start the install using the MapInfo Pro .msi file and NOT the setup.exe.
This method will only install MapInfo Pro and will not check for, nor install, the prerequisites, listed in the MapInfo Pro documentation, that Pro needs to run.
After installation is complete, go online and install the Access drivers:
Note: if Office 2010 32-bit is installed on a 32-bit OS, then download and install the x86 (32-bit) Access drivers from Office 2010 download page above.
If Office 2010/Office 2013 64-bit is installed on a 64-bit OS, then download and install the x86 (32-bit) Access drivers from the Office 2007 download page.
If missing, manually install the needed C++ libraries
This is because the install via the .msi also skips the install of these prerequisite components.
If run from Setup, the installer checks for prerequisites and installs what's needed automatically.
Installing from the .msi to avoid the Hotfix error requires user to manually install those prerequisites.
