VERIFIED SOLUTION i

Doc1 Series 5/6 and Font Lists in a client\server installation

Issue

A user can see a font in the repository, but it is not installed in their Windows\Font directory

Cause

Require information about how this font got into the repository when it is not in the local user's Windows\Fonts directory

Resolution

UPDATED: September 1, 2017
In a client\server environment, any user attached to the repository can import Windows fonts into the repository, either by using the Import Font option, or by using the font in their application, which automatically imports the font.

Other users will be able to see the font in the repository, but it will not necessarily be in their Windows\Fonts directory.  If they open an application that uses this font, Doc1 will automatically install this in Windows\Fonts, or if they create a publication using that font, again, Doc1 will automatically install this in their Windows\Font directory.

All uers in a client\server installation have access to all the fonts that are present in the repository.
