VERIFIED SOLUTION i
I've added a custom projection line to my MAPINFOW.PRJ but it does not appear in the select projection dialog box's list.
- Custom projection may not have been added to the correct ENCOM.PRJ file.
- Custom projection may not have been added in the correct format.
ResolutionUPDATED: June 27, 2017
MapInfo Discover's reprojection tools (as well as MapInfo Discover 3D) use a separate projection file to MapInfo Pro, into which you will need to copy and paste the custom projection lines.
This ENCOM.PRJ is located at-
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Encom\Common\Projections (Windows 7 / 8 / 10)
If it does not exist here, in older versions, it will be located in:
C:\ProgramData\Encom\Common\Projections\ENCOM.PRJ (Windows 7 / Windows 8)
C:\Program Files\Encom\Common\Projections\ENCOM.PRJ (Windows XP)
If it is still not listed in MapInfo Discover, ensure the custom projection uses the following exact formatting:
"--- Customname ---"
"Projectionname", x, x, x,
