Resolve MapInfo Professional 12 crashing at startup


When trying to launch MapInfo Professional 12, (or finish activating) an error is received.

MapInfo Professional application file has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

The MapInfo Professional 12.0 licenser_libFNP.dll and licenser.dll need to be replaced with an earlier version of the same file.


UPDATED: July 26, 2018
1. Rename the licenser_libFNP.dll and licenser.dll files in the following folder first: C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\Professional

2. Resolution is to take MapInfo Professional 11.5.4 dll's in the attachment and extract the files in the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\Professional

3. Once dll's are replaced, Restart MapInfo Pro 12, and it will successfully open.
