HEADLINE ENHANCEMENTS

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

UPS API. UPS Consolidated. Added Seasonal Surcharge

The charge type Peak Season Charge has been added for UPS API and UPS Consolidated.

FedEx Web Services. Added New Special Service

Support for the special service Additional Handling has been implemented for FedEx Web Services, used for hazardous and dangerous goods shipping. When set, the detail entered into Package/PackageNotes is passed to FedEx when rating and shipping, and used to populate the Additional Handling node in carrier requests.

Additionally, FedEx will automatically apply Additional Handling Surcharges to non-hazardous shipments that exceed one of the following conditions for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground:

  • Shipments greater in length than 60”, but equal to or less than 108”.
  • Shipments weighing more than 70lbs.

UPS Mail Innovations. Added New Special Services

Support for the following special services has been implemented for UPS Mail Innovations:

  • Disposition Method – Leave At Door
  • Disposition Method – Address Service
  • Disposition Method – Forward
  • Disposition Method – Return
  • Disposition Method - Change Service

DHL eCommerce API. Added New Carrier

Support for the carrier DHL eCommerce API has been added.

CSRF Security Improvements

For Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection to be applied to all areas of the product, set the Server Configuration setting Secure Request Validation to True. Note that if already set to True, the setting needs to be reapplied.

PB Shipping API – USPS. Deprecated TLS Versions 1.0 and 1.1

Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 is now the minimum supported version when operating with PB Shipping API – USPS, following the deprecation of TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1.

Product Architecture. Added Support For SQL 2017

The product is now supported on SQL Server 2017.

 

SUPPORT ITEMS

This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.

OnTrac. Fixed Issue With ZPL Output

When shipping, ZPL label printing now functions as expected.

Project Templates. Generation 2 – Mailroom. Fixed Issue With Address Details

The Duties Bill To field Address Line 1 now saves correctly in the template’s International tab. Also, refer to the Project Template Changes section.

 

OTHER CHANGES

This section contains information about minor changes and corrections. It can include issues raised in previous releases that have been corrected.

Hazardous Shipping Papers. Corrected FedEx Alignment

Resolved an issue whereby FedEx Hazardous Shipping Papers (FedEx OP-900LL) did not align correctly when printing. Note that the alignment has been corrected for Response and Active Reports printing. Client printing is not recommended as the form will have to be configured on a per user basis.

FedEx SmartPost. Corrected Rating Issue

Rating now functions as expected when operating with FedEx SmartPost.

 

PROJECT TEMPLATE CHANGES

The following templates have been updated and can be used with this release.

Comments: The Duties Bill To field Address Line 1 now saves correctly in the template’s International tab.

 

XML SCHEMA CHANGES

The following XML Schema changes are included in this release.

For Schema Name:

  • Pierbridge Ship Request
  • Pierbridge Package Request
  • Pierbridge Rate Request
  • Pierbridge Rate Shop Request
  • Pierbridge Rate Shop With Cartonize Request

Added the following:

  • LithiumBatteryDetails: Describes the material composition of the battery of the cell.
  • Packing: Describe the packing arrangement of the battery or cell with respect to other items within the same package.

For Schema Name:

  • Pierbridge Ship Request

Added the following:

  • LabelRequired: Indicates if the driver is to supply a label for the shipment when collecting from the Sender.
