SendSuite Live Release Notes for version 7.17.01 (May 4, 2017).
Products affected: SendSuite® Live

SUPPORT ITEMS

This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.

LabelMaster DGIS. Fixed Incorrectly Used Hazardous Material Total Quantity Measure

Resolved an issue whereby the hazardous total quantity value (quantity * measure) passed to DGIS was multiplied on their end, resulting in inflated amounts being printed on the documentation.

Generation 2 Mailroom Project Template. Changed Tab Order

Changed the tab order for when a user presses the tab key to navigate through the project template. See the Project Templates Changes section of these release notes to view the new template details.

NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Fixed Output Rule Logic

Corrected the output rule logic for NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Previously, a blank document would be created, if not required.

Internationalization. Fixed ConnectShip End of Day List Response Date Handling for Non-US Localizations

Resolved an issue with the dates not being parsed correctly if ConnectShip was configured to return different date formats, such as “British Canadian”, in which case the product returned empty date fields for certain date values. Post update, the product will use the date format associated with the selected ConnectShip culture when parsing dates.

Also, refer to the Possible Breaking Changes section of these release notes.

Carrier Activity Report. Corrected Shipment ID Label

The Shipment ID label on the Carrier Activity Report has been changed to Package ID to better reflect the data being displayed.

Also, refer to the Possible Breaking Changes section of these release notes.

OTHER CHANGES

This section contains information about minor changes and corrections. It can include issues raised in previous releases that have been corrected.

Product Database. Removed Duplicate Index in Package Requisitions Table

Removed a duplicate index, [IX_Package Requisition], as the same fields are also indexed in [IX_Package Requisitions ShipmentRequisitionID. The latter is the index that has been retained in the Package Requisitions table.

Capital Logistics. Updated URL

Updated the hostname. This will now be: cw.shipandsave.com

FedEx Web Services. Fixed Residential Address Validation

Fixed an issue with the address validation logic not handling correctly the address type for FedEx Web Services. Previously, all business addresses would be validated successfully, and pass as residential.

Blackbox. Corrected Receiver Node in Schema Files

Corrected the nodes returned in the Receiver container node for several schema files, so that they match the responses returned by the server.

FedEx Server. All Warnings Now Returned

All warnings (MessageTypeCode = 01, 03, 06) are now returned in the client Ship Response for FedEx Server. These will now be included in the Status container node. Warnings don’t affect the package success status, as they are only returned from FedEx Server, not Shipment Server.

Shipping Administration. Improved How Disabled Users are Handled and Logged

All screens and authentication modes will now block disabled users. Added a new diagnostic log, Failed Authentication, that will indicate the reason why a user request has failed, and the URI the user was trying to access at the point the product rejected the request. To access this level of diagnostics, you must have enabled at least the Info log level.

Shipping Administration. User Email Errors Now Logged

A new server setting, Admin Email Mode, has been added. When set to “All”, the setting allows for storing all emails associated with account configuration and password recovery. Note that this setting requires an email server to be configured for this operation, otherwise an error message will be returned. If no email server is configured, the Projects Login page will not show the “Forgotten Username or Password?" link.

Diagnostics screen will now log all email failures.

Outputs. Added Placeholder Error Text Label for Ship Failures

Added the image label to complement the feature added for the 7.17.00 release (see SHIP-61)

The label can now be generated in ZPL or Image format for Client or Response printing.

POSSIBLE BREAKING CHANGES

This section lists all changes that have the potential to break legacy functionality. Please review the contents of this section before updating any project to understand the changes that are being made and any actions that you need to take prior to applying the patches.

Change: Pierbridge Rate and Pierbridge RateShop Responses will now contain ISO-formatted dates and times within the "CommitmentLevel" element. Previously these values were US formatted. The element will now be consistent with the other date fields within same responses, such as DeliveryDate, ShipDate which were already ISO formatted.

Action: If you parse data directly from the "CommitmentLevel" field, you must update the way this field is handled, if required. Note that this changes does not affect project templates, as they have been updated to convert the ISO values back to an appropriate format.

Change: New files have been added to the Outputs folder in Shipment Server.

Action: To retain your existing customizations in the Outputs folder, it is recommended that you back up the folder and restore any customized files after the product upgrade.
