How to add, edit and remove printers from SendSuite Xpress and Ascent

Add a printer

Note: Ensure that the printer is installed on the computer and appears in the Windows Devices and Printers Control Panel before attempting to add it to SendSuite® Xpress or Ascent™. If the printer does not appear in Devices and Printers, contact your IT department to ensure that your printer is properly installed.
  1. Open Xpress Processing or Ascent Processing:
    • For Xpress Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
    • For Ascent Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
  2. If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
  3. Select Setup > Peripherals.
  4. Select Printer Setup.
  5. Select Add.
  6. Fill in the Printer Code and Printer Name.
  7. Select the corresponding Printer type:
    • Thermal for label printers
    • Laser for report printers
  8. For label printers only, select the corresponding Thermal Type from the drop-down menu.
  9. Under Print Via, select the printer driver. (The drivers that appear are from the Devices and Printers area of the computer).
  10. Ensure that the Raw Print Mode (bypass print driver) box is checked.
  11. Select OK.
  12. Assign the new printer to SendSuite Xpress or Ascent.


Edit an existing printer
  1. Open Xpress Procssing or Ascent Processing:
    • For Xpress Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
    • For Ascent Procssing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
  2. If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
  3. Select Setup > Peripherals.
  4. Take note of Manifest/Report Printer or Address Label code that you would like to edit for the carrier.
  5. Select the Printer Setup button.
  6. Select the List button.
  7. Select the label or report printer code you noted in step 4 and select the OK button.
  8. Select the Edit button.
  9. Make changes as needed. If the USB port has changed, select the corrected driver under Print Via.
  10. Select the OK button.


Remove a printer
  1. Open Xpress Processing or Ascent Processing.
    • For Xpress Processing: Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Processing.
    • For Ascent Processing: Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Processing.
  2. If prompted to sign in, use pbrep as the username, leave the password blank, and select OK.
  3. Select Setup > Peripherals > Printer Setup.
  4. Select List and select the printer to be removed.
  5. Select the OK button.
  6. Select the DEL button at the top.
  7. Select the Yes button to confirm removal.
