Resolve problems copying and pasting code into the MapInfo Pro MapBasic Window

product affected: MapInfo Pro™
Some times, code typed in Word or other software generates errors in the MapInfo Pro MapBasic window even though syntax is correct.

The best practice would be to write the MapBasic code directly in the MapBasic windows or use a text editor which does not have any styling, such as notepad.

Some text editing programs such as Word can apply "styling" by default that could potentially made the code to appear as if it has a wrong syntax when the text is copied and pasted from Word to the MapBasic window.

A good example would be the quotation mark (") produced by Word and Notepad.  While the quotation mark from Notepad usually works without issue, the quotation mark produced appears differently and can generate errors.
