Adding postage on the DM300-DM475

In order to top up your meter, you must have funds available in your Postage by Phone account, or be using Purchase Power®.

Follow these instructions to refill postage on your meter:
  1. Before you start, make certain your system is connected via wired or wireless LAN, PC Meter Connect, or via analogue phone line in order to communicate with the Pitney Bowes Data Centre. If you have not yet connected your system, visit the DM300c, DM400c and DM475c Getting Started or DM300M, DM400M and DM475M Getting Started page.
  2. Press the Refill Postage key.
  3. The refill amount shown is the amount that was added the last time the meter was refilled. Select Refill £xxx.xx to add the amount shown, or select Another Amount and enter the amount you want to add.
Note: The minimum amount of postage that can be added is £50. Refills must be made in multiples of £50.
  1. Select Accept.
  2. Select Yes to verify the amount. The system connects to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre. The screen displays the status of the process.
Note: If the meter is unable to connect to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre, see article Resolve connection errors on the DM300, DM400 and DM475.
  1. When the message Postage Refill Complete is displayed:
  • To print a receipt, select Print Receipt and follow the prompts.
  • To return to Home screen without printing a receipt, press Home.
  1. The meter will also check if there are any software updates available. To keep your meter up-to-date, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install any update(s).
