How to set the accounting period on the DM500, DM525 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™,  DM1100™
By default your mailing system does not have an account period set. You must set your accounting period before you can process mail. Note that when the system reaches the end of your accounting period, all of the data in your accounts must be reset (cleared) before you can process mail again.

To set your accounting period, follow the steps below:
  1. Press the Accounts button.
  2. Press the right arrow button.
  3. If prompted for the supervisor password, enter it, then press Enter.
  4. Select Accounting Period.
  5. Select the desired accounting period:
    • None 
    • Weekly 
    • Monthly 
    • Quarterly 
    • Twice a Year 
    • Yearly 
  6. The system calculates the cutoff date. Press enter to accept date, or press clear to enter a different cutoff date.
  7. Press Enter.
  8. Press the left arrow to return to the Home screen.
