Checking your postage account balance on the DM300-DM475

Note: In order to add postage to your meter, you must have funds available in your Postage by Phone account, or be using Purchase Power®.

Follow these instructions to refill postage on your meter:
  1. Before you start, make certain your system is connected via wired or wireless LAN, PC Meter Connect, or via analogue phone line in order to communicate with the Pitney Bowes Data Centre. If you have not yet connected your system, see the DM300c/DM400c/DM475c Getting Started or DM300M/DM400M/DM475M Getting Started section.
  2. Press the Refill Postage key.
  3. Select "Check PBP Balance"
  4. The meter connects to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre. Various screens display, showing the status of the process. Once connected, the amount in the account displays:
    • "Prepaid": the amount of prepaid funds remaining on your account
    • "Other": the available credit amount with Purchase Power
  5. When prompted to "Add Postage (Yes/No)":
    1. Press the Yes key if you wish to add funds
    2. Otherwise, press No to return to the home screen.
NOTE: The meter will also check if there are any software updates available. To keep your meter up-to-date, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install any update(s).
