How to tell where the New end coordinates will be when merging two lines in MapInfo Professional

Product Feature: Mapping
When two lines, such as roads, are merged to form a T-junction the start and end coordinates of the resulting line may be at the join rather than at one of the three end points.

The unmerged lines each have a start and end point each and the merged line has three nodes at the end of the lines.  MapInfo Professional does not know which two of the three nodes to use as the start and end coordinates so they have to be set manually.

An illustration of the coordinates of a merged line and a single line are in StartAndEndCoordinates.WRF which is a webex video file.
