How to configure account validation when shipping with SendSuite Xpress or Ascent

Products affected: SendSuite® Xpress, Ascent™
  1. Open SendSuite® Xpress or Ascent™ Setup and go to General setup:
    • For Ascent: 
      1. Select Start > All Programs > Ascent > Ascent Setup.
      2. Select Carriers > General.
    • For SendSuite Xpress: 
      1. Select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Setup.
      2. Select Carriers > Custom Configuration > General.
  2. Select the List button, then select the carrier for which you wish to turn account validation on or off.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Select the Edit button.
  5. Next to Account, select one of the following options:
    • Validate Account & Post Budget: Verifies that a valid account number was entered (blank not allowed), verifies that there is enough money in the account budget, then charges the shipment to the account.
    • Validate Account Blank Allowed: If an account number was entered, verifies that a valid account number was entered and charges the shipment to the account. Allows no account number to be entered (blank allowed).
    • Validate Account No Blank Allowed: Verifies that a valid account number was entered (blank not allowed) and charges the shipment to the account. 
    • No Account Validation: Does not verify the entry in the account number field.
  6. Select the OK button.
  7. Repeat to set up additional carriers if needed.
