Changing the phone number dialled on the DM50-DM60

Alternatively, to continue connecting via analogue phone line, a change may be required to the telephone number used by your Pitney Bowes postage meter.

Follow the steps below to ensure that your meter is dialling out to the correct data centre phone number:
  1. If your meter displays an error code or message, clear the error message by pressing the Clear/Back button, or by restarting the meter if required.
  2. Under Options then Change Setup?, first update the Local Access phone number by clearing the stored number with the Clear/Back key and entering: 08719480102, then press Enter/Yes.
  3. If promted to Stay in Setup? press Enter/Yes.
  4. Next scroll to Data Centre phone number and press Enter/Yes. Press the Clear/Back key to clear the number, enter 08719480102, then press Enter/Yes.
  5. Restart the meter by removing the power cable for 60 seconds, then plugging back in.
  6. Attempt a connection, for example a balance enquiry by pressing the Funds key and selecting Check PbP Balances?
