Adding or removing the dialling prefix on the DM300-DM475

DM300c™, DM400c™, DM475™ (G920)
DM300M™, DM400M™, DM475M™ (G922)
For meters connecting to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre via analogue telephone line.

If you need to press a key in order to make a telephone call to an external number (a "prefix", often 9 to dial an outside line), you may need to enter this prefix on the meter for the meter to be able to dial out to the Pitney Bowes Data Centre.

Follow these steps to add a dialling prefix:
  1. Press the Options key.
  2. Press Page Down twice.
  3. Select Data Centre Options.
  4. Select Phone Settings.
  5. Select Dialing Prefix.
  6. Enter the prefix number wanted (such as a "9") and select OK. The meter will return to the Phone Settings menu.
  7. Press the Home key to return to the Home screen.

Follow these steps to change or remove an existing dialling prefix:
  1. Press the Options key.
  2. Press Page Down twice.
  3. Select Data Centre Options.
  4. Select Phone Settings.
  5. Select Dialing Prefix.
    1. To change the prefix: press the Back (C) key to delete the dialling prefix and add a new number and select OK.
    2. To remove the prefix: select No Prefix Required.
  6. Press the Home key to return to the Home screen.
