Loading the envelope feeder on the Relay 3000 and 4000

Learn how to load the envelope feeder on the Relay 3000 and 4000.

To load the envelope feeder:
  1. Turn the side guide knob counterclockwise to widen the side guides.
  2. Lay a shingled envelope in the bottom of feeder with the flap up and trailing.
  3. Turn the side guide knob clockwise until the side guides touch the envelope.
  4. Turn the side guide knob counterclockwise until there is an 1/8-inch gap between the side guides and envelope.
  5. Load the envelope feeder with neat stacks of envelopes.
  6. Press the elevator button to raise the envelopes to the feed rollers, located in the same place.
