How to add support for projection "Colombian Coordinates Magna-Sirgas datum number 165" in MapInfo Professional

Products affected: MapInfo Pro™
Colombian Coordinates Magna-Sirgas datum number 165 is a supported projection already in v15 of MapInfo Pro.

This projection can be added to older versions by opening the mapinfow.prj file in notepad and adding the lines listed below.  The default location for the mapinfow.prj file is:
32bit- C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\Professional
64bit- C:\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional

Parameters for Magna-Sirgas datum are the same as GRS 80 datum, so you can use datum # 33 in your PRJ file:

Add these lines to the mapinfow.prj file:
********************
"Longitude / Latitude (MAGNA-SIRGAS)\p4686", 1, 33

"MAGNA-SIRGAS / Colombia East zone\p3118", 8, 33, 7, -68.07750791666666, 4.596200416666666, 1, 1000000, 1000000
"MAGNA-SIRGAS / Colombia East Central zone\p3117", 8, 33, 7, -71.07750791666666, 4.596200416666666, 1, 1000000, 1000000
"MAGNA-SIRGAS / Colombia Bogota zone\p3116", 8, 33, 7, -74.07750791666666, 4.596200416666666, 1, 1000000, 1000000
"MAGNA-SIRGAS / Colombia West zone\p3115", 8, 33, 7, -77.07750791666666, 4.596200416666666, 1, 1000000, 1000000
"MAGNA-SIRGAS / Colombia Far West zone\p3114", 8, 33, 7, -80.07750791666666, 4.596200416666666, 1, 1000000, 1000000

Once the lines are added to the mapinfow.prj file, save and close the file.  Then restart MiPro.
