Using PC Meter Connect

  1. Open the program by double-clicking the  icon on your Desktop, or press the Start button and type "PC Meter Connect".

Note: The PC Meter Connect program runs in the background on your computer, so it may already be open.
  1. Plug the flat end of the USB cable into an active USB port on your computer.
  2. Plug the square end into the back of the meter.

  1. Power up the meter. This pop-up on the computer's screen tells you that the meter has been recognised:

  1. You are now ready to make a connection on the meter.
Closing the PC Meter Connect program
  1. Find the PCMC icon in the Windows system tray (bottom right-hand corner of the computer, near the time and date. It is often hidden so click the up triangle on the taskbar).
    1. When a meter is connected, the icon is an orange arrow.
    2. When a meter is not connected, the icon is a red cross. When you hover the mouse cursor over the icon it says "Meter not detected by PC" or "Internet Not Detected".
  2. Right-click the icon, and left-click Exit.
  3. At the prompt "Are you sure you want to exit?"select Yes.

Alternatively, you can also follow the below steps:
  1. Open the Windows Task Manager (Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and select Start Task Manager).
  2. Select the Processes tab.
  3. Click on the "Description" column to sort it alphabetically.
  4. Select the "PC Meter Connect" line and click End Process.
