If the message "The roll of labels or tape inside the machine does not match the one selected in the application" appears when using a QL-1100 printer, the wrong paper size is selected.

Issue

When printing a 4x6 shipping label in SendPro Online on the Brother QL-1100 printer, the message "The roll of labels or tape inside the machine does not match the one selected in the application" appears.

Cause

The incorrect paper size is selected.

Resolution

From the print preview screen of the label, complete the following based on your browser. Once you print with these settings, the paper size will remain as the last used.

Safari

  1. Select File > Print.
  2. Change Presets to Last Used Settings.
  3. Change Paper size to 4.07" x 6.4".
  4. Select Print.

Google Chrome

  1. Select the Print icon.
  2. Change the Paper Size to 4.07" x 6.4".
  3. Select Print.

If you are using the "Print using system dialog" option, you will need to set the QL-1110 as the default printer in Windows. (If changing the default printer in Windows is not an option, then do not choose "Print using system dialog". Use Chrome's default printer options instead.)

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel (Start > All apps > Windows System > Control Panel).
  2. Click Hardware and Sound.
  3. Click Devices and Printers.
  4. Right-click on your QL-1100 and select Set as default printer.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

  1. Uncheck Choose paper source by PDF page size.
  2. Select Actual Size.
  3. Select Print.
