"Mail piece too long" message on the DM100i-DM200i, DM110i-DM220i and DM300-DM475

The meter displays the message Mail piece too long when feeding mail


The meter has detected a sensor fault.


UPDATED: 13 September 2019
  1. Turn the meter off by removing the power lead from the rear of the meter.
  2. If possible please use a compressed air duster to to spray along the mail path. This may clear any dust or debris that has built up over time.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Replace the power lead then wait for the meter to initialise.
