Resolve issue where the "Save Workspace" dialog takes a long time to appear in MapInfo Pro

When accessing the File > Open or File > Save Workspace menu item, it takes an extremely long time for the dialog box to appear.


This lag may be caused by a network drive path being configured under the Directory Preferences options.

Go to Options > Preferences > Directories... > if there are any network paths currently configured under the Initial Directories for File Dialogs window, modify the file path by clicking once on it then click the Modify... button and change it to a local directory such as the current user's 'My Documents' folder as illustrated below
