Resolve "Unable to open table" error when trying to open a TAB file - MapInfo Professional

Products affected: MapInfo Professional 32 and 64 bit versions


When trying to open a TAB file then the following error message is encountered:

The Excel spreadsheet that the TAB file was referencing was missing

Locate the Excel spreadsheet and place it in the same location as the TAB file.
