Resolving printing error codes and system messages on the DM100i-DM475

Issue

Your meter prints incorrectly or displays one of the following error codes or system messages:

System message:
Print head temperature out of range

Cause

Your issue relates to your meter's printing system.

Resolution

UPDATED: September 11, 2019
Solution 1: Restart your meter:
  1. Unplug your power cord.
  2. Wait one to three minutes.
  3. Plug your power cord back in, ensuring that it plugs directly into a wall outlet.
If this does not resolve your issue, try Solution 2.

Solution 2: Clean your print head:
  1. Remove your scale.
  2. Open your ink door.
  3. Select Change Ink Tank.
  4. Once your printer carriage moves to the front position, open the green latch.
  5. Remove your ink tank.
  6. Pinch the grey levers together, and remove your print head.
  7. Using a lint-free cloth, wipe your print head to remove any excess ink.
  8. Carefully remove any ink on the gold-colored print head contacts on your meter.
  9. Reinstall your print head, making sure that the grey levers click into place.
  10. Reinstall your ink tank.
  11. Close your ink door.
  12. Reinstall your scale.
