The meter displays the message Cover Open and will not run mail.
A cover is not closed completely.
ResolutionUPDATED: September 1, 2017
To resolve this issue:
- Turn the machine off using the power switch.
Note: The switch is located on the far left side of the machine, except on the DM800™ and DM900™, where the switch located on the front in the middle.
- Open the top covers. Ensure that all of the blue levers are pushed all the way down into the machine. If a lever is sticking up, the top cover may not close completely.
- For the DM500™, DM550™ and DM800i mailing machines, ensure that the transport deck (located in front of the printer at the exit of the machine) is pushed up completely.
- Close up all top covers.
- Turn the machine back on.
