Resolve Error 1334 on the DM500, DM525 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™


The meter displays error code 1334 and will not print tapes.


The meter has detected an error with the internal printer.


UPDATED: January 9, 2017
Clear any jams under the print carriage:
  1. Entering 6946 and press the Funds button. The meter will enter service mode.
  2. Select Diagnostics.
  3. Select PMC Diagnostics.
  4. Select Print Head Maintenance.
  5. Select Move Print Head / Cap.
  6. Select Open Cap.
  7. Select Move to Env Position.
  8. Lift the cover.
  9. Remove the tape and clear any tape jams.
  10. Close the cover.
  11. Select Move to Home Position.
  12. Select Close Cap.
  13. Reload the tape.
  14. Reboot the meter:
    1. Turn the power off with the power switch.
    2. Wait for the display to turn off.
    3. Wait one to three minutes.
    4. Turn the power switch back on.
