Resolution
When you have a network setup or connectivity issue, the LEDs (lights) near the network jack flash in a pattern. Contact your IT department for assistance when needed. The following list provides the meaning of each pattern as well as a resolution for each issue.
Flashing GREEN = Connection working (normal, no error)
C11: ORANGE, ORANGE = MAC address access error
C12: ORANGE, ORANGE, ORANGE = IP address access error
C13: ORANGE, GREEN, ORANGE, ORANGE, ORANGE = Net mask access error
C14: ORANGE, GREEN, ORANGE, GREEN, ORANGE = Interface access error
Flashing GREEN = Connection working (normal, no error)
The meter has a functioning network connection. No action is needed.
C02: ORANGE, GREEN, ORANGE, GREEN = Auto IP Address not assigned Resolution:
- Enable DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) on the network or manually configure the network settings using the Network Setup Software.
- Power cycle the device:
- Unplug the device from power.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect to power. This updates the firmware and reboots the Communication Device.
Resolution:
- If the network is set up to use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), reboot the device.
- If the network does not have DHCP:
- Disconnect the USB/network cable from the meter.
- Download and run the Network Setup Software to verify and manually configure the DNS.
- In addition to the DNS, you must specify the IP Address and Subnet mask.
- If the settings fail to update, reset the Communication Device to the factory defaults.
