Resolve "Performing Maintenance" on the DM500, DM800i, DM925, DM1000 and more

Products affected: DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™


The meter displays the message "Performing Maintenance" and will not print.


The system may be preparing to print, or may have just completed a mail run.


UPDATED: September 1, 2017
It is normal for the meter to display "Performing Maintenance" for a short period at these times:
  • After pressing Start when the system is preparing to print
  • After the end of a mail run
If the message "Performing Maintenance" persists for more than 3 minutes, reboot the meter:
  1. Turn the power off with the power switch.
  2. Wait for the display to turn off.
  3. Wait one to three minutes.
  4. Turn the power switch back on.
If the "Performing Maintenance" message is still displayed, contact technical support. Please have your model number and serial number ready.
