Issue
The meter displays error code 248C.
Cause
Your jam release lever is in the open position.
Resolution
Close your jam release lever, turn the jam release lever counter-clockwise.
If closing your jam release lever does not resolve this error, then reboot your meter. Follow these steps for a safe restart:
If your issue is not resolved, contact customer support from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Time. Have your model number ready.

- Unplug the power cord; wait one minute
Note: Your meter may have a power switch on the back, you can use it to turn off the power
- Plug the power cord back in, ensuring that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet
