Resolution

UPDATED: October 3, 2017
This feature has been added to the MapInfo Pro 16.0.1 patch.

If you do not plan to upgrade or do not have access to this version, please try the following workarounds:
  1. Verify with the user uses the ANSI driver and not UNICODE (works not for all customers)
  2. Use the "Column Filter" in standard options in Open DBMS Table options dialog and exclude the columns using UUID type
  3. Change the column type to text or whatever is supported and appropriate for the context if this column needs to be used in MIPro.
