Resolve error 1722 when trying to install MapInfo Professional

When trying to install MapInfo Pro the error 1722 may be generated.


This error message may appear when trying to use the autostart.exe file and trying to install without Administrative permissions.  It can also generate when the Windows installer becomes corrupt.


UPDATED: December 5, 2019
Try running the setup.exe rather than the Autostart.exe.  The Setup.exe files can be found in the installations folder of MapInfo Pro. From that folder go to:
  • Install>MI_PRO>DISK1 and there should be three files.
  • Right click on setup.exe and then select the option 'Run as administrator'.
Have an IT Admin with full control login to the machine and try executing the installation.
Also try downloading and installing the most current Microsoft Windows Installer.
