When installing a SendSuite® Xpress update, the message "Application Error: Could not install file C:\Xpress\SSX.EXE; Failed to open file "C:\Xpress\SSX.EXE" exclusively" is displayed.
Antivirus software is blocking the update.
ResolutionUPDATED: October 18, 2019
- In your antivirus software, turn off the real-time protection, or, if that option is not available, disable the antivirus software.
- Install the SendSuite Xpress update as described in Failed to connect to the meter on Connect+ after SendSuite Xpress update. You may need to restart the computer while the antivirus software is turned off before the update will install correctly.
- After updating, turn your antivirus software back on.
