Error EDE2C with SmartLink on the DM50-DM60

Issue

When attempting to connect using the SmartLink™, your meter displays the error code EDE2C or EDE29.

Attempt to restart your Smartlink device to clear the error.
  1. Power off the meter by removing the power cable from the back of the machine.
  2. Power off the SmartLink device by removing the power cable from the back of the box.
  3. Disconnect the Smartlink USB cable from the back of the meter.
  4. Power on the meter by plugging the power cable into the back of the machine.
  5. Plug the SmartLink USB cable into the back of your meter.
  1. Power on the SmartLink device. After a few seconds, if the device finds an active connection the bottom Internet light will flash green:
  2. The Smartlink USB light shows steady green. The internet light flashes green. 
  1. The meter displays the message Meter Controlled by PC.  Connection has been made to Pitney Bowes.
