EngageOne Vault Loader application stopped unexpectedly

Product Feature: Vault, Loader

EngageOne Vault Loader application stopped unexpectedly. No vital information was found in the Vault logs.

Below is an example of an error which was found in the event viewer logs:

The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume D

This could indicate possible disk hardware problems. This should be investigated.

In addition to the above, If the log directory ran out of space, the Vault processes would no longer be able to write to the log files.

Older versions will then stop logging most messages even if space is freed up (this defect was corrected in later versions).

UPDATED: June 16, 2020
Ensure that the Vault data and index directories are on reliable storage otherwise, as this could result in corruption.

With regards to
the log directory running out of space issue, the disk structure event could result in errors being passed back to Vault which could trigger the logging to stop.

Note - There was an issue in older versions of Vault where an I/O error writing to the log caused most logging to stop. It would not recover even if the disk issue was corrected. However, restarting the process would clear the problem.

It is important to note that this was fixed in 6.1M1p0181, 7.0M2p0039 and 7.1 onwards.
