Resolve no next day rates when shopping for a rate in SendSuite Xpress or Ascent

Products affected: SendSuite® Xpress, Ascent™


When using Shop in SendSuite® Xpress or Ascent™, the selection criteria should allow Next Day/Overnight rates, but none display.


Either it is Friday (this is normal on Fridays unless Saturday Delivery is selected), or the next day is a holiday (Next Day/Overnight rates will show for the day after the holiday).

On Fridays:

Next day rates do not include weekends unless Saturday Delivery is selected in the Special Service window, so this is normal on Fridays.

On the day before a holiday:

If the next day is a holiday, Next Day/Overnight rates will show for the day after the holiday.

Note: There are three holidays whose dates are not the same each year. Your software may not have the correct date if those holidays are not updated. To update holiday dates:
  1. Open SendSuite Xpress Setup or Ascent Setup:
  • For SendSuite Xpress, select Start > All Programs > Xpress > Xpress Setup.
  • For Ascent, select Start > All ProgramsAscent > Ascent Setup.
  1. If prompted to sign in, sign in in with your Shipping Station information.
  2. Select Setup > General from the top menu options.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Ensure that the three holidays – Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving – show the correct Month and Day. If the dates are incorrect, update them.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Exit SendSuite Xpress or Ascent.
  7. Open Shipping Station and test.
