Resolve Installation Pending, Please run this program as Administrator user when opening SendSuite Xpress peer station

Issue

SendSuite® Xpress Peer Station will not open after installation of the version 2.80 update on the master station. The following error is displayed:
 
Installation Pending

Please run this program as Administrator user.
You may continue using this application ass normal user once system completes all pending installations.

Cause

The updates cannot be installed because the logged-in user does not have administrator rights.

Resolution

UPDATED: October 26, 2016
To resolve this issue:
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Sign in to the computer as a user with Administrator rights.
  3. The updates should automatically be installed when the computer is booting up.
  4. Open Xpress Processing and test.
