Resolve "Error attempted to read write protected memory" when editing users in Business Manager

When a non-administrative user attempts to edit another user's account, the error "Error attempted to read write protected memory" is displayed and Business Manager locks up.

UPDATED: October 2, 2017
  1. Right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager (or press Crtl+Alt+Delete on the keyboard and select Task Manager).
  2. Select the Processes tab.
  3. Select MNTools.exe*32 in the list of processes.
  4. Select End Process.
  5. Select Yes to continue.
  6. Close the Task Manager.
  7. Open Business Manager and sign in with an administrative user account in order to edit other users' accounts.
