How to Enable/disable and control size of the Sagent Data Flow status log file

Applies to all version of DFS across all platforms.
Status logs give information about various status of DFS (Sagent Dataflow Service) log.
Enabling status Log:
‘Executionstatus’ tells about the plan which are executing on DFS with their start and end time.
‘Includestepsstatus’ tells about that status of each transform in terms number of block processed and to be processed by a transform.
‘Resourcestatus’ tells about resources DFS is taking on the machine.
‘Sessionstatus’ tells us about the session with the DFS from any client (Design Studio, sappcomm , weblink etc).
‘StatusFile’ is the path of the file where all this information is dumped.DFS creates the file itself but directory has to be created by user manually.
‘StatusInterval’ is the interval(in second) after which all the status are dumped in the status file.
If 64 bit DFS is installed on 64 bit machine OR 32 bit DFS is installed on a 32 bit Machine, these keys have to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sagent\DataMart\DC
If and only if 32 bit DFS is installed on 64 bit machine, these keys have to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sagent\DataMart\DC
All the keys except ‘StatusFile’ are DWORD , ‘StatusFile’ is string type.
To enable/disable the status we have set status of these keys to 1 and 0 respectively.
Disabling status Log(or minimise log size):
There are three ways one can disable the logs
1)      One can disable few or all the status keys (set them to 0) so that the User gets fewer entries and thus the size of log increases more slowly.
2)      One can increase the time interval so that status is dumped less frequently in the log file, making it smaller.
3)      To disable the log permanently, one can remove all the keys from registry and restart DFS.
PS: User might not see all the status keys mentioned above, one will only see the keys which are configured to get dump In the status logs.
Restart of DFS (Sagent Dataflow Service) is always necessary whenever you edit the registry keys.
