Restarting a Portrait Dialogue n instance
To restart an instance, select the instance in the Dialogue Admin browser and choose "Item->Restart" from the menu.
The restart option is mostly used, if an instance has been failing, for example if the database has been unavailable. Restarting an instance will signal to the Dialogue Server services (MH Dialog Manager Service and MH Send Message Service) that the instance is ready to be used.
Restarting an instance will also clear all cached data in that instance, including SQL queries, Customer Domain definitions, Parameters etc.
