Installing and operating DOC1 Series 4 on Windows 7 and Windows 10

Operating System: Windows 7 and Windows 10
Doc1 V4.x was not developed or tested for Windows 7 or Windows 10 as these operating systems were not in existence when this version of product was released and there will be no further development on this version of product..

Bearing the above in mind, this version of product should work on either platform as long as it is installed outside of the Program Files directory.  The only function that does not work is preview.

There is a patch available for this that works on Windows 7 and Windows 10, but only for version 4.5M0p2454.  This patch will not be extended to any earlier version of Doc1 V4.x.

This patch is available on request (quote SCR70095), and to deploy this, close the Doc1 designer so that there is no file conflict when replacing the dll file. Do a search for "ladcdl.dll" in Windows Explorer where Doc1 is installed.

Change the name of the original file to something like ladcdl.dll.backup so a backup of the
original is available should something go wrong.

Copy the unzipped dll file to the location of the original dll file, and it should then be possible to open Doc1 and preview applications successfully.

Please note that V4.x and V5.x and all version of V6.x prior to V6.6 are now officially out of support.
