Access to the Spectrum/Portrait Miner server can be controlled by the 'Local Security Policy' on the server.
In particular 'Allow log on locally' and 'Access this computer from the network' are required for a user to be successfully authenticated when logging on from a Spectrum/Portrait Miner client.
Particular users/groups can be allowed access or blocked using these options on the server.
