How to change a Data Map for an existing Publication in DOC1

Doc1 designer series 5 & 6
When an attempt is made to change Data map for an existing publication by going into publication properties and as you click on data map it prompts you to choose data format and after choosing that it takes you to Data Map wizard.

This wizard allows you to define the required links using models of the data aliases used within a publication and the data elements defined in a data format.

As the publication has not changed and still contains the data field references from the earlier data format and data map.

This wizard allows you to map existing data fields in publication to the new data set.

Once these fields are mapped you will be able to change the data map.

For mapping all you need to do is just click on next in the data map wizard and it will take you to data record screen and you will have to again click on next and it will take you to data field screen.

Here you will see on the left side under data field all the fields used in publication will be listed and on the right side there will be data set.

So, here you will need to select a data field followed by selecting data set on the right side and then click on map button in the center.

For reference I have attached screen shots which shows mapping of data filed name used in the publication to the new data set.

Similarly you will need to map all the fields. Once you are done with it.You will be able to change the data map for the publication.
